Overall mission:
To design, implement and lead the full HR strategy for the plant, aligned with business priorities. The HR Director oversees the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retention, social dialogue, legal compliance, talent development and operational HR performance, with a strong focus on proximity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Governance
● Define and deploy the HR roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.
● Structure HR policies, processes and governance at the plant level.
● Lead change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
Talent Acquisition
● Design and lead the recruitment strategy for operational and strategic positions.
● Manage the full recruitment process from need assessment to onboarding.
● Build relationships with external partners (schools, agencies, job boards).
● Ensure inclusive and high-quality candidate experience.
Talent Management & Internal Mobility
● Implement workforce planning and succession strategies.
● Identify high potentials and coordinate internal career development.
● Encourage talent mobility within the site and across the group.
Learning & Development
● Define the training plan based on technical and soft skill needs.
● Coordinate mandatory and custom training programs.
● Assess training impact and ROI on team performance.
● Promote internal coaching, mentoring and peer learning.
Performance Management
● Design and run performance review cycles and goal-setting processes.
● Build a feedback-driven culture linked to compensation and growth.
● Guide managers in team performance and accountability.
Engagement & Retention
● Create and implement employee engagement initiatives.
● Manage recognition programs and retention plans.
● Analyze engagement surveys and lead action plans.
Industrial & Labor Relations
● Lead negotiations with unions and staff representatives.
● Organize professional elections and manage IR strategies.
● Build trust-based social dialogue and prevent conflicts.
Conflict Management & Compliance
● Implement formal grievance redressal systems.
● Mediate conflicts and ensure fair resolution processes.
● Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
● Act as main interface with labor inspectors and authorities.
Employee Welfare & Work Conditions
● Oversee employee well-being: housing, healthcare, transport, canteen, recreation,
insurance, etc.
● Design support programs for expatriates and local staff integration.
● Promote occupational health and safety with HR-related actions.
HRIS & Digital Transformation
● Oversee deployment and use of HR information systems (payroll, L&D, performance, admin).
● Drive digitalization of HR processes for efficiency and data reliability.
● Use analytics to support strategic decision-making.
HR Controlling & Budget
● Monitor key HR indicators: headcount, absenteeism, turnover, salary mass.
● Manage HR budgets and control labor costs.
● Create HR dashboards and deliver insight-based reports.
HR Team Management
● Lead and coach the HR team (specialists & generalists).
● Allocate responsibilities, build skills, and promote teamwork.
● Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile:
● Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, or Business Administration.
● Minimum 10 years of HR experience, including 5 years in a leadership role in an industrial environment.
● In-depth knowledge of labor law, industrial relations, and HR processes.
● Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to work closely with operations.
● Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
