Mission Statement:
Responsible for the full financial, accounting and cost control function at plant level. As a
strategic business partner, they provide reliable financial information, ensure compliance, and
drive profitability through efficient financial operations, supporting local and corporate
decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
● Supervise statutory and group financial reporting under local GAAP and IFRS.
● Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end closings.
● Coordinate external audits and ensure audit readiness.
● Provide insightful financial analysis for management decision-making.
Financial Planning & Control
● Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with operational teams.
● Track variances vs. budget and implement corrective action
● Establish reporting tools adapted to plant-specific financial drivers.
Cost Accounting
● Build cost structures per product/style/line.
● Monitor standard vs. actual cost variances.
● Conduct line-wise profitability and cost-per-minute analysis.
Inventory & Fixed Asset Management
● Oversee stock counts, inventory valuation, and shrinkage control.
● Ensure asset tagging and tracking of fixed assets.
● Monitor inventory turnover and losses.
Cash & Treasury Management
● Manage daily and projected cash flows.
● Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
● Optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.
Tax & Compliance
● Ensure compliance with all tax obligations.
● Plan and implement tax optimization strategies (e.g., exemptions, duty drawbacks).
● Lead tax audits and align finance operations with legal requirements.
Internal Control & Risk Management
● Implement approval matrices and financial control procedures.
● Identify and mitigate financial risks, fraud prevention included.
● Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
Payroll & Labor Cost Oversight
● Reconcile payroll accounts with accounting records.
● Analyze labor cost trends and productivity metrics.
● Ensure accurate and timely statutory contributions.
Investment & Capex Management
● Evaluate ROI of investment projects.
● Track capital expenditure against budget.
● Conduct post-investment reviews and audits.
Procurement Finance & Vendor Management
● Monitor supplier payment cycles and credit terms.
● Support procurement in financial negotiations.
● Implement early payment discount strategies.
Plant Reporting & MIS
● Develop daily/weekly operational dashboards.
● Monitor delivery penalty risks and cost overruns.
● Track factory KPIs and support operational decision-making.
ERP & Systems
● Supervise ERP use and data quality (SAP, Oracle...).
● Automate reporting and streamline processes.
● Participate in system upgrades and digital finance initiatives.
Team Leadership
● Lead and coach the finance team, set objectives and develop skills.
● Promote performance-driven culture and strong work ethic.
● Represent Finance in cross-functional strategic projects.
Cross-functional Business Partnering
● Work closely with production, supply chain, HR, and procurement teams.
● Provide financial insight to optimize operations.
● Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
● Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
● At least 8–10 years of experience in finance, including 3–5 years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
● Proficient in ERP systems, IFRS/local GAAP, budgeting, and tax planning.
● Strong analytical skills, leadership, and business acumen.
● Fluency in both French and English is mandatory (written and spoken).
